Why do you need this Copycat Outback Ranch Dressing? The flavor is outstanding and it can be used on so many things.
I have made several easy and delicious recipes lately using this Ranch dressing, including a Slow Cooker Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza, Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad, and Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps.
I knew if I could find an Outback Ranch Dressing copycat recipe my family would love it. I found a recipe in Top Secret Restaurant Recipes 2 by Todd Wilbur. I include a link to his book on Amazon. I am not an affiliate of Amazon or Todd Wilbur cookbooks. I just truly enjoy this cookbook and wanted to mention it to you. It is full of some of your favorite restaurant recipes. I was not totally convinced that this Ranch dressing tasted exactly like Outback’s version on Ranch dressing. I noticed the recipe called for one teaspoon of Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix (Buttermilk Recipe). I used the one teaspoon and tasted it. Having lived in the New Orleans area I just simply like my food with a lot of flavor. I decided to add the entire one ounce package of Ranch dressing. I believe it is about two and a half teaspoons in each package. To me, this extra seasoning was perfect. It tasted a lot like Outback’s version of Ranch dressing. It is up to you how much Ranch dressing seasoning you use, but I would try the one teaspoon and then you too may want to add the rest of the package.
- 1 teaspoon Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix (Buttermilk Recipe) - I used the entire 1 ounce package.
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup buttermilk
- ¼ teaspoon coarse grind black pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon paprika
- ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
- Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl and mix well.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
